Terms & Conditions – PrivateLATours.com
January 2024 – PrivateLATours.com is based in Los Angeles 90034, CA and provides currently city tours in and around Los Angeles area.
BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS
All tour bookings can be placed online through the online booking system. The tour, tour date and optional Extras can be booked through the system. This booking is a binding contract between the guest and PrivateLATours.com once the full payment has been received. There is a non-refundable booking fee of $29 to cover the cost of administering the booking of the chosen service.
PAYMENT
The online payment is carried out by a trustworthy third party, currently Stripe Inc., which supports i.a. major credit cards like MasterCard, VISA, American Express. After a successful payment a confirmation email will be send out with booking and payment details. German customers may have the option to pay within the European IBAN system (bank transfer/Banküberweisung). Please ask us upfront if this option is available. A tour will only take place when the payment is fully received upfront.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY THE COMPANY
We hold the rights to re-route a tour and replace tour stops in case of single street or location closures. In the rare event that due to bad weather situations and circumstances forced by nature (like wildfires or mood slides, heavy rains or storms) a tour has to be cancelled in full, the guest will be offered a free rebooking of the tour. This is also true should a guide be absent due to a serious illness. Is no alternative tour date possible a full refund can be offered.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER
For the acceptance of a cancellation the customer has to send the request by email to the email address shown on the booking confirmation within the following time frame:
For cancellations made 14 days or more prior to tour start date – 100% refund.
For cancellations made 8-13 days or more prior to tour start date – 50% cancellation fee.
For cancellations made 4-7 days prior to tour start date – 80% cancellation fee.
For cancellations within 72 hours prior to tour start date – 100% cancellation fee.
The local date and time zone applies: Los Angeles, California, USA (PT)
Example for a correct cancellation with tour start on July 16th:
Cancel on or after July 13th – 100% cancellation fee
Cancel on or after July 9th – 80% cancellation fee
Cancel on or after July 3rd – 50% cancellation fee
Cancel on or before July 2nd – 100% refund
The refund will be issued within 30 days after the cancellation has been accepted on the same way the payment was made.
CUSTOMER SPECIAL REQUESTS + RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are urged to clarify all open questions about a tour prior their booking via our contact form on the website. All tours require walking, light hiking, getting into/out of a SUV and/or using stairs up and down at some locations. In case a person has disabilities please make sure to contact PrivateLATours.com ahead of your booking to clarify the possibilities of a tour.
All tour guests have to inform their guide of allergies or possible occurring medical conditions prior the tour start. The guests are responsible to carry necessary medications with them.
SAFETY AND DISCLOSURE
PrivateLATours.com complies with safety rules and regulations of California. All tour guests have to follow safety instructions for personal safety, health, and well-being. Using seat belts while driving is mandatory. PrivateLATours.com provides no Booster Seats. All guests have to be adequately prepared for the tour and experience; hard soled shoes, hat, sun protection, medications…
DISCLOSURE: PrivateLATours.com or their employees/tour guides are not responsible for any health issues, accidents, and other safety-related issues that occur. Tour guests have full responsibility for any injuries or health issues that arise. PrivateLATours.com is not liable for any additional damage beyond the payment of the tour. If a guest causes damage to the vehicle or the need of an extra cleaning, the guest/group agrees to pay for the damages and cleaning costs. With the booking of a tour the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
BEHAVIOR OR CODE OF CONDUCT
PrivateLATours.com expect that all customers behave responsibly and respect other guests and the tour guide during the trip. Drinking alcohol during driving is prohibited by law. Besides closed water bottles no beverage or food consumption are allowed any time in the car. No pets are allowed in the vehicle. All tour vehicles are non-smoking. The tour guide has the right to take steps if a guest fails to follow the basic behavioral codes of conduct. Guests can be asked to leave the tour if they are not behaving responsibly at their own expense. No refund will be granted. The company may also have the right to cancel all future bookings or reservations by a disruptive customer at their discretion.
Please be ready-to-go at the pickup time printed on your booking confirmation to keep the tour on schedule. Necessary adjustments because of delays could lead to cancellations of tour stops as some locations may have certain opening hours or bookings were made.
COMPLAINTS AND FEEDBACK
In the event that anything comes up during the tour that does not satisfy the guest, it should be directly and respectfully addressed to the guide to give a chance to respond and adjust. More feedback, ideas or complaints can be submitted online via the contact form on the website or direct by email.
DATA PROTECTION
To operate the website PrivateLATours.com including the booking, the payment and communication, certain data and information are being shared with third parties to fulfill our services. The customer agrees to receive emails about a reservation, company updates or special offers. Customer data is never sold to third parties. The Privacy Policy applies.
IMAGE USE RIGHTS AND PUBLICITY
All photos taken by the company during a tour are the company’s property and may be used for marketing purposes without the customer’s permission.
WEBSITE CONTENT
The company makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the website information. Such content can be changed at any time at the company’s discretion. PrivateLATours.com is not responsible for third party website content or lack of security.
Should one paragraph become invalid, the others remain unaffected.
